Wedding Confetti

2012 has been a year of lots of  beautiful weddings for many of my friends. It's always hard to decide what dress to wear and what jewellery, bag and shoes to accessorise with. The last wedding I attended was at the end of September, I managed to catch the beautiful bouquet and decided to dry out the flowers and learn't how to make my own confetti.

I have been saving this dress for a special occasion, its an old style from H&M. I love how it drapes and the ruffle layers. I worn one of my own statement necklaces to complete my outfit.

 How to make the confetti
1. Pick the flower petals
2. lay them on a plate and put them in the microwave for 4 minutes
3. Take out petals, they should be crispy now. Place them on kitchen towel to cool down.
 Making the Confetti Cone
1. Make a square 10x10cm using paper (I've used handmade), tearing the edges with a ruler (Tearing gives a more natural finish)
2. Form square into cone by choosing a corner to fold into a point and overlapping the paper.
3. Stick down using double sided tap.
4. Fill cone with the flowers.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog and looking at my photos
Many Thanks
Caroline xoxo
